Mining Projects
The mining products commodity boom has transformed Bolivia’s mining industry into a highly profitable, global business. Royal Holding International Group owns an important stake in a copper mine in Corocoro, Department of La Paz, and works closely with local mining cooperatives across the country.
Our knowledge of national mining projects and local mining law allows us to promote key mining opportunities within Bolivia’s national territories, helping partners drive positive results by developing and executing innovative strategies, improving operations and reducing risk.
Bolivia’s Mineral Wealth
– Silver and related minerals: silver, zinc, lead, bismuth and other minerals found alongside the country’s large tin reserves
– Antimony: Bolivia mined about a fifth of the world’s reserves in the late 1980s
– Tungsten: historically a leading producer among market economies
– Gold: an important resource for the economy, with annual production estimated around 9 tons a year
– Lithium: high priority given to the deposits in the brines of the southern Altiplano’s Salar de Uyuni – among the largest lithium reserves on Earth
– Iron: the Mutún iron mine is planned to develop one of the world’s largest iron ore deposits
